Description
Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my 60’s beat and psych and some 70’s progressive records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, a very rare first 1966 Dutch pressing of The Who - The Kids Are Alright on the Brunswick label, cat. no. DZ 177 026.
The record is VG minus condition, there are some of hairline marks and some non-sounding surface marks. When I test played this record, it played with only slight background crackling and an occasion pop here and there. Obviously, this record is well-loved by the previous owner. The labels are in VG condition, there are some of spindle marks and there is some wear along the spindle hole on both sides.
The cover is in VG condition, there are some creases in the corners and someone even tested a ball point pen in the upper left hand corner on the front (!). Luckily, this pen did not work… Further this cover suffers from light age browning. And there is a bald spot on the spine. All in all this cover looks still very decent to me.
Although this record is not in mint condition, this is an extremely rare album by The Who, released only in the Netherlands back in 1966. This album is exactly the same as the “My Generation” album, but to promote the Who in the Netherlands, brnswick repackaged this album with a totally different cover. This is a unique chance to complete your Who collection! Happy Bidding!
