This is a very rare record. Only 500 with the poster were issued.
I bought this in Oxford in 1967 and have had it ever since. I'm not an expert on record condition, but it plays well and despite some surface scratches (see photo) the only time I can can hear crackles are on the first few second of the opening track. probably where the needle was lowered.
"When the LP was released on Track Records in the UK in 1967 (Track 612 002 Mono & Track 613 002 Stereo), a poster was included inside the first 1000 copies (500 stereo and 500 mono). They came with a sticker on the front cover stating 'Free Psychedelic Poster Inside'. Because of their rarity, first pressings with poster and sticker have sold for more than £600. " Wikipedia
I bought this when I was at school in Oxford in 1967. The record sleeve is in good condition considering the age. At the top right corner the lamination has separated slightly from the card underneath, along the line where the edge of the record is underneath. I've included a close up shot of this.
The poster inside is the original that came with the record. It has faint marks at the corners, which you can see if you zoom in on the photo of the poster. These are where there was sellotape back in the 60s, which has now degraded and peeled off, leaving the faint brown remains of the glue. The poster has been folded so has slight wear on the folds, which you can see in a close up in one of the photos. I've added a shot of the corner of the which shows the slight stain from the 1960s sellotape. I didn't realise back when I was an art student back then, that it was going to be so valuable, but I suppose it does prove it's that old. I'm a bit reluctant to sell as it's an old friend.price rating
