This is the UK 1st press of 'Quadrophenia' by The Who. This album has all of the distingiushing 1st press features. The labels are matt and flat. The record has a hard flat, not rounded edge. The matrix numbers are one of the lowest 1st press combinations possible and the records are complete with their original inner sleeves and matt gatefold 2657 013, 22 page stapled booklet sleeve.
The records are in Near Mint condition. Both records have a sensational high gloss, every track looks absolutely superb. There are a couple of the faintest hairlines, but these are insignificant, the records look absolutely marvellous. On playing the audio quality is also superb - rich, bold and exceptionally clear. The vocals are crisp and the backing bold, every detail can be heard. The Track labels are completely clean. The black is bold and the silver text is sharp. There is no spindle wear just a few spider marks. The records are complete with their polylined inner sleeves in Near Mint condition.
The original gatefold sleeve is in Excellent condition. The greys and black are bold and the image is clear and unworn. There is just a little edge wear. The inside is also excellent, the 22 page stapled booklet is complete but the inside pages are a little loose. The whole cover still feels in rare very solid condition and the spine is firm with clear text.
