Classic Records has proven to be an Audiophile Company second to none in the new millennium. But Classic Records, unlike other top Audiophile Companies, does not place Limited Edition numbers on their LP jackets.

Classic Records has just announced that their vinyl weight of 200 gram is now changing on some titles to 180 gram. 

What this change did for Collectors of the finest vinyl pressings was establish a First Edition element to Classic Records Audiophile pressings. SOME Classic Records titles that were only produced in 200 Gram pressings are now Out of Print and Very Limited Edition Collector's First Edition Pressings.

These First Editions have become some of the rarest pressings in the Audiophile Collector's Market. Just try to find them at any Audiophile Retailer after the next few months. You might still find some limited inventory of M-F-S-L or DCC pressings and some of these 200 gram Classic Records titles will now become that rare  in the collectors market. They are simply gone from the market and Mymusicfix has seen some these First ORIGINAL SEALED Editions sell for over $300.

When you take that into consideration, what will this First Edition Audiophile Pressing be worth in the years ahead? It could be one of the most collectible pressings ever in 200 Gram First Editions.

200 Gram QUIEX SV - high definition virgin vinyl pressing for superior fidelity.  The nicest thing you can do for your stylus and ears.  The ultimate record – the way music was meant to be heard – superior quality.

There have been so few vinyl LPs produced over the last 5 years that you should never pass up the opportunity to upgrade your collection. They're each very limited in their pressings and disappear with extraordinary quickness from the vinyl market. This causes prices to skyrocket because once they are gone, they are gone forever! Don't second-guess yourself with this chance to upgrade your collection  because before you know it, the opportunity will have passed forever. 

 This is one of the seminal albums of the '60s along with the White Album and Let It Bleed. Originally mixed to mono and a few tunes half-heartedly to stereo, this record contains the title track "My Generation" which is as accurate today as it was 40 years ago. Additional tunes include "The Kids Are Alright," "I'm A Man," "It's Not True" and "The Ox" among others. To mount this important reissue, Classic Records reassembled the original mono master takes of each tune onto a master reel and had Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering cut directly from that reel through their all-tube mono cutting system. That's right, this is not mono cut on a stereo head with the resulting crosstalk - it is the real deal just like it was cut in 1965 from the Shel Talmy (producer) original (not copies) mono master tapes. Artwork and labels are meticulously recreated from a mint original copy of the impossibly rare UK Brunswick LP - which now sells for over $1,500 on eBay
