Description

My Generation was The Who's debut album.  It was released on 3rd December 1965 and reached #5 in the UK album chart. Although later dismissed by the band as something of a rush job that did not accurately represent their stage performance of the time, critics often rate it as one of the best rock albums of all time.  You can find more information at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Generation_(album).

The record has the matrix numbers MG 10256-1B and MG 10257-1B and the labels have a deep grove just outside the copyright notice.  According to Collectors' Frenzy (http:///details/360662988339/WHO_My_Generation_1965_UK_or_lp_MATRIX_MG102561B102571B) this indicates that this is a First Pressing of this super rare LP.  It is not warped.  It has fingerprints and fluff, but there are no scratches or scuffs.  I have not played it for 40 years so cannot confirm it plays with no jumps, sticks or skips, but when I did play it I never had a problem with it and given the lack of marks I believe that it would play well.  The labels have no rip, however, there are spindle marks on the labels.  (I played it a lot when I was young!)

The cover has slight wear on the corners and edges.  It's also a bit grubby in places on the back, but bear in mind that it is nearly 50 years old.  Also, the back has my initials - DJT - in black ink in the top left-hand corner.  (See photographs 1 and 2.)  The wording on the spine is perfectly legible.

The sleeve is the original and has no rips or tears The front contains my initials - DJT in black in the top right-hand corner (see photographs 3 and 4).

I have owned this copy of this classic album since I bought it shortly after it was released in 1965.  I'd say that it is in excellent condition for its age and I am selling only because I am downsizing.
