Description
The Who on tour in 1973 at the L.A. Forum. Very good (but not sensational) audience recording. Performance by the group was outstanding. The Who at their musical height and as you know, finding Quadrophenia material live is VERY difficult.
The sleeve is a homemade project but can easily be replaced by a blank white sleeve and your own art work. The song line up on the back is correct. Note: The Who played two nights at the Forum and to my ears, the last three songs on side two are from "the other night" (not recorded the same night as all the other songs). I may be wrong, that's just how I sense it.
Label & Catalog Number: Pig's Eye PE-11

Comments: This is a special live collector's item. Keep in mind that this type of recording will have various degrees of sound quality that may not equal a regular live album.
Vinyl in great shape. There are some inner sleeve scuff marks on each side but a "listen test" by yours truly revealed no major audible scratches. However, as with all special live collector's albums, there is a small amount of surface noise here and there. I heard surface noise on the quiet opening passage of "I'm One". It seemed to be a result of vinyl surface noise and not actual scratches or scuffs. Also, if you're not familiar with this recording, be aware that the makers of this album sped up the tape at the very end of "Drowned" to "race car speeds". I assume they were trying to be cute but it may also have been some sort of recording SNAFU. Either way, you are forewarned. I lasts about a minute and 40 seconds.
The album will be sent via USPS.
