Description: Great selection of classic, rare and obscure psych, '60s rock and folk rock in this auction series.Many FIRST PRESSINGS and PROMOS included.
Each auction features full, edge-to-edge, high resolution photos and lengthy soundclips, so take your time to check out some things on the list you might not have heard before. Some jazz 10" LPs and jazz/pop vocalists, soul, percussion, exotica and oddities in the mix toward the end.

VINYL is EX/NM
In order: SIDE 1: NM / SIDE 2: EX (very few faint scuffs) / SIDE 3: EX+ (one hairline) / SIDE 4: NM. Labels are pristine all 4 side, no spindle marks.
COVER is VG+
Very clean and solid with light ringwear and corner creases. Seams and spine are excellent all around. No splits.
Rare 1968 STUDIO and LIVE Recordings.

Side 1 is Live at the Fillmore East in 1968. The other 3 sides are previously unreleased studio recordings and single A and B-sides previously unavailable on LP, circa 1966-1971.
The real treasure here is the entirety of side 3, which are 1967/1968 songs originally planned for THE WHO SELL OUT album, before it was trimmed from a double LP down to the single LP that eventually emerged. The entire side is strung together with the same kind of (but all different) "Radio London" jingles and station breaks. Awesome to finally get this material, which includes the very elusive original studio versions of Summertime Blues, Easy Going Guy and Young Man Blues. Better yet: (because they are such great Townshend songs) are Jaguar and Early Morning Cold Taxi.
You can hear songs from each side (in the player below), including their torrid cover of The Rolling Stones' The Last Time (LONG VERSION, more guitar) -that The Who recorded to raise money to bail Mick Jagger and Keith Richards out of jail in 1967 drug bust. It was only available on a 45 previously and had already been long out of print.
NOTE that the player is Mp3 quality only.

Most of my customers prefer Media Mail because it is very cheap. Please keep in mind that it's cheap because it is SLOW; most Media Mail packages take a week to travel 30 miles and around two weeks to travel cross-country. Sometimes it can arrive cross-country in 5 days - sometimes it takes a month. Due to Postal Service conditions, the actual arrival time cannot be known in advance.
