Still SEALED in the original Factory Shrink Wrap; small piece of shrink missing at Promo notch at u.l. corner. Perfectly flat, crisp and super clean. Edges straight, corners sharp. No creases, dings or splits.

This original Warner Bros. issue (packed with 2 foot square poster inside) was only issued in 1981 ... ALL were Mastered by Ted Jansen at STERLING SOUND.
and according to DISCOGS, All will have "STERLING" stamped in the vinyl dead wax both sides - as well as
"Guaranteed Brand Spankin' Who" etched on side 1 and "Who Is Joe Suit?" etched on side 2.
it MAY also have "TJ" (for Ted Jansen) etched in the dead wax as well.

Later issues were from MCA (obviously with a completely different catalog #), with NO Sterling mention at all, and the back cover turned sideways from this one - with Bar Code in a completely different place. Here its in the original position on the 2nd ink bottle. NO Poster came with the MCA Reissue.

The Promo notch allows me to peek in and see that the INNER SLEEVE has a *tiny* notch and that the POSTER has been spared, with NO notch in it.

"Without Keith Moon (This is the 1st Who album with Kenny Jones - post-Small Faces, on drums), THE WHO may have lacked some of the restless firepower that distinguished their earlier albums, but FACE DANCES had some of Pete Townshend's best, most incisive compositions since Quadrophenia. "Don't Let Go the Coat" was one of his better odes to Meher Baba, "You Better You Bet" was a driving rocker, as was the rueful "Cache Cache", while "How Can You Do It Alone" was a solid ballad.?"
