THE WHO, ‘DIRECT HITS’, AN ORIGINAL 1968 UK TRACK RECORDS **stereo** VINYL LP ON THE BLACK WITH SILVER PRINTED TRACK RECORD LABELS – 613 006
Direct Hits is the first U.K. compilation album released by The Who. It collects singles, B-sides, and album tracks originally recorded for Reaction Records and Track Records between 1966 and 1968. Original U.K. issues of this album were released in both stereo and mono versions. The album was not a strong seller and was deleted in the early 1970s. This was the fourth U.K. LP released by The Who.
The record labels are in beautiful and undamaged Mint Minus condition, immaculate record labels to both sides, with just a couple of very faint signs of play to each centre spindle hole, all printed text is clearly legible.
There are many markings in the dead wax areas on side 1,613 006A-1, also a date stamp 1966 G8 & 00184152 A.
And side 2,613 006B-1, also a date stamp 1966 G8 & 00184152 B..
Both sides of the very heavy quality Vinyl disc are in immaculate and unmarked Mint condition, both sides are in the most amazing preserved condition.
The album plays superb throughout without faults.
The LP comes in it’s original Made in Great Britain inner bag, and is housed in its original and immaculate Issue Glossy Front Laminated Picture Sleeve.
The original E.J.Day Picture sleeve is a beautiful example in pristine Mint Minus condition. The front panel is ultra glossy, with just a mild hint of record storage. The edges and pinched spine edge are free from splits and the wording on the spine are perfectly legible. The reverse panel of the sleeve is super clean and undamaged.
An immaculate example of this original UK 1968 stereo issue of The Who’s fourth UK Album release .
