THE WHO A QUICK ONE 1966 REACTION 593 002 MONO IST PRESS
LOVELY CONDITION MONO LP HARDLY EVER BEEN PLAYED
On offer is The WHO LP entitled A QUICK ONE released in MONO in the UK on the REACTION label Reaction 593 002. This is the ORIGINAL 1966 UK MONO 1st pressing on the 'Textured' Reaction label. This 1st press issue has the Ernest .J. Day fully laminated cover and this first issue disc was pressed on THICK quality vinyl. This is in SUPERB condition as follows:-
v The vinyl is in SUPERB EX+ / near mint condition and the vinyl has a lovely clear, clean sheen to it. The labels are also in lovely condition and this example of this rare LP - from my personal collection - has hardly ever been played and has been extremely well looked after over the years.
v The laminated cover is in lovely EX+ condition (front and back). It has a beautiful shine to it and there is a rich clarity to the art work (designed by Alan Alridge) on both of the laminated sides. The cover has some minor creases in the laminate. Overall this cover is in LOVELY condition and has been well preserved over the 40 plus years of its life.
v The matrix numbers reveal this to be THE EARLIEST possible FIRST pressing - Side 1 - A/1 and Side 2 - B/1. (There has been an A/2 / B/2 matrix for sale on eBay recently BUT I cannot recall seeing a TRUE FIRST PRESS A/1 B/1 for a long time - they do not come up for sale very often at all).
This is a hard-to-find LP these days in the SUPERB condition that this beauty is in.
The song titles are as follows – Side 1: Run Run Run / Boris the Spider / I Need You/ Whiskey Man / Heat Wave / Cobwebs and Strange. Side 2: Don't Look Away / See My Way / So Sad About Us / A Quick One, While He's Away.
