So, up for sale is one of the extremely rare 300 PROMO VINYL COPIES ONLY of The White Stripes' Get Behind Me Satan 13-track / 2-lp album that XL manufactured for UK and Europe in the summer of 2005 with a unique black and white artwork completely different from the commercially available edition  - featuring Jack on one side and Meg on the other - on an original press black/white/red PROMO label with Cat No XLLP191P, Matrix Nos XLLP - 191P A MASTERDISK [A side], XLLP - 191P B MASTERDISK [B side], XLLP 191P C C MASTERDISK [C side] and XLLP 191PD - 1 D MASTERDISK [D side, both hand written / machine - stamped]!

Get Behind Me Satan was, for ten years, the only album by The White Stripes to not be officially / commercially released in a vinyl format. The reason behind it was because The White Stripes had intended to re-record Get Behind Me Satan entirely live in a New Zealand studio and wanted that to be the official vinyl version. However, the studio that they were planning to record it in no longer had the recording equipment to make it possible. As a result, at the time there was never a commercially released vinyl of the album. Yet, there were only a few copies of the album on vinyl double lp that were given exclusively to music journalists for review, which have since become coveted collector's items. They were released by both XL Recordings and V2 Records and each label had 300 each, making the total 600 and highly rare. However, for Record Store Day 2015, Jack White's Third Man Records released a limited vinyl edition to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the album with a lenticular gatefold sleeve, pressed on red and white vinyl. A commercially released version with standard artwork pressed on standard black vinyl released next year.

Unavailable for almost 12 years and highly - prized on eBay, this auction is the only way to get one of the more sought-after items in the White Stripes discography on a reasonable price! So, do not miss …

Grading:I use the GOLDMINE standards for grading STRICTLY & CONSERVATIVELY  the condition of the items listed. The grading is mostly visual, though I d? “spot check” each of the songs play-graded on a Technics SL-1200MK2 with a, weight of 1.5 gram, Stanton 681 EEE MK III! As for the covers, please, look at the photos to evaluate yourself - with grading being a subjective matter, pictures are an objective way to evaluate for yourself!

I personally write all of my own descriptions, take all of my own photos, and package all items for mailing myself. Strict packing policies applied : each order is carefully packaged by removing the lp from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of plastic cover sleeves over each lp and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.
