THE WALKERS -- Tonight I'll Say a Prayer / More Today Than Yesterday / Got To Get You Into My Life -- ex. rare, original early 1970s (?) 45 RPM single. Another completely unknown find for Northern Soul fans, credited to The Walkers: A-side is fairly forgettable Pop tune, but B-side is terrific uptempo version of the Spiral Staircase's "More Today Than Yesterday" with male & female vocals trading off -- then it segues into heart-stopping take on The Beatles' "Got To Get You Into My Life" without missing a beat. No idea who this is group is, so if anyone can shed some light let me know. No date on the record but judging by sound I'm guessing 1969 - 1971 at latest. This apparently never saw actual release, and this Demo Test Press is the only copy that's ever surfaced -- so get it while you can. In generic sleeve. Record: Fair+ to VG-, moderate surface wear and surface marks; A-side (weaker song) has clicks, but fortunately B-side (More Today/Got To Get) is much better.
