Description
THE UNIQUES: Uniquely Yours UK PYE INTERNATIONAL MONO ORIGINAL (RED PYE LABEL) NPL 28094. 1966
Here's a rather nice original copy of this very scarce album from Louisiana's Uniques featuring the young Joe Stampley. The album came out briefly in the UK and original UK copies are very hard to locate. The music is a great mix of garage and pop. 'You Ain't Tuff' having been featured on 'Nuggets'. The sleeve is in nice shape. There is quite a bit of age-wear, and some creasing, and a slight mark on the 'i' of 'Uniques' (see pic), but otherwise it's okay. I'd grade the sleeve VG-, VG at very best. The vinyl has a few marks, fortunately these are not at all serious and the record plays fine. It retains a great sheen. I'd grade the vinyl VG+. This is a very nice copy of a scarce album with a high book price, so take advantage of the relatively low start price and bag yourself a bargain.
