Not only is this a relatively hard album to find in any condition (and it is worthy of finding in any condition), this gem is a still sealed promo copy completely intact!
The little sticker that indicates it's a promo is under the shrink wrap-not on the outside!
This is it folks. If you ever wondered where Progressive Rock come from, look no further. This record is a wonder of arrangement, songwriting, playing and production. And it was made in 1968! Almost every single prog rock group of the late 60's and 70's owes all their royalties to this one record. From Yes, Genesis, Queen, Rush and everyone in between, this is where they got their ideas. If you are a fan of this genre in the least, you must purchase this record ASAP. No one is paying me to say this. It’s been rumored that Jimi Hendrix rented studio time next these guys just to hear them record the album. Among the players/writers are Dan Galluci who I believe played keyboards on the seminal "Louie Louie" or at least produced it. This album is "Bad-A$$."
The aural wonders these young men pulled out of contemporary equipment of the late 60's is astonishing. From the opening "acid" rock mega blow-out "We Feel Fine" to the "Tomorrow Never Knows" inspired "Down at Circes Place" to the closing epic "75" it will melt your mind. This album makes anything Yes did sound like the Partridge Family. It's a shame this record is not in every one's top 10 list. As far as I can tell it went largely unnoticed when it debuted. Hopefully now this can be rectified. It may not be for everyone but if you are a prog rock fan, you have to, have to, have to, have to buy this...you won't be sorry.
Prepare to be blown away.
I promise the hype is justified.
Should you require additional information or clarification ask prior to bidding.
My records are graded by traditional Goldmine standards. I don't sell records with a grading of less than VG unless it is obscenely rare in any condition.
Most of my records will grade from VG+ to M- with a conservative approach that dictates a borderline record will receive a lower grading rather than a "push" higher.
M- / Visually without blemishes save for very minor lines or scuffs that are most likely attributable to sleeve marks, Sonically with no or virtually no sound other than that of the recording itself (no pops, crackles, ticks or hissing).
VG+ / More obvious visual signs of imperfections, pressing imperfections (bubbles for example, that do not impact play quality) light "skid" marks that can be seen but not "felt", some perceptible noise between tracks or at lead in, general sound quality during play is uncompromising.
VG / Recording is visually and sonically of good quality, without skips or excessive noise during playback. Record may have clicks.
In some extreme instances I will submit a grading of R.M.F. (which means Rare Musical Find) to advise it is something special to consider.
Vinyl and Jackets are graded within these same general guidelines.
All specific areas of concern are noted to the best of my ability.
I try to insure all records are play graded (which I believe most collectors rate the higher priority) by spot checking areas that may be questionable and generally checking for quality overall.
I may make errors in grading and if it should occur I will make every effort to ensure you are completely satisfied with your purchase.
I ship worldwide, however those outside of the United States and Canada must pay via PayPal.
I will gladly combine winnings to save on shipping costs for you.
Personal Checks require approximately two (2) days after deposit to clear.
I invite questions and will respond in a timely manner.
Insurance is not included although highly recommended to avoid debates that may occur without it (mis-directed package, damaged item, etc.)
Note: due to increases in costs for shipping by the U.S. Postal Service, new costs are now in effect.
Shipping to the 50 states is done using USPS Media Mail rate and is calculated by weight and destination. Rates increase as package weight increases and also depends on which zone you live in. Packaging and handling are $2.75 over the cost of postage.
If you are looking for the cost to ship outside of the United States, please use the shipping calculator.
I usually ship within two (2) days after payment is received.
Shipping elsewhere will be quoted at the end of the auction and will be destination dependant. Most overseas shipments will be done via First Class International which is cost effective and a relatively fast delivery turnaround.68
