WOW!! WOW!! WOW!! MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND original Stereo Polydor Records very first press released in Chile late 1970 by Polydor Records, licensed from La Deutsche Grammophon Ges., Germany, made and distributed by Discos Philips (Philips Records), catalog number 2310 033, with orange/black Polydor Records labels and white “Polydor” lettering, with hand etched matrix numbers 2310-033-A EB-CD in Side 1 and 2310-033-B EB-CD in Side 2. Yes, yes, yes, WHAT A FIND AGAIN!!! Another extremely rare Chilean press of a classic rock album!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!!

“MA BELLE AMIE” was originally released in USA in 1970 and the same year this record was released in Chile and like usual those years the cover in Chile is UNIQUE, made of a very thin cardboard or thick paper folded in the middle, faking a gatefold cover, so 3 sides are open and kept together for an outer plastic bag. In Chile front cover keeps strictly the original US artwork. Back cover is totally different, it has the original album title, in left side is the tracklist with songs written in Spanish, translated to English, with timing of each song, and in right side is the full list of credits with a brief bio and review of each member of the band. In labels the tracklist is also written in Spanish, translated to English, with full credits for songwriters, and credits for the album too, but no timing. In the left side is informed the original catalog number of US press, CS 1001, with additional information about original record company, Colossus Records, and country of origin, Holland. Yes Sirs, here you have the chance to own another Chilean rarity, the original press of “Ma Belle Amie” by Dutch band The Tee Set with UNIQUE COVER!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in superb VG- or VG condition, complete and clear, with some rips and creases, more evident in the mouth edge and corners, light ring marks, notorious age browning and marks of humidity in back cover, with the name of some past owner stamped 4 times in front cover and 4 times in back cover. The record is in great VG or VG+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, with some very light scuffs and hairlines, and soft scratches, which of course don’t affect the sound at all too. Labels on both sides are in VG- or VG condition both sides, with minimal spindle hole wear, but some general wear, a faint mark of humidity in Side 2, the name of some past owner stamped in both sides, residues of some sticker in Side 1 and a notorious peel in Side 2, which deleted the album title. The sound is the best part, it’s in strong VG+ or EX- condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with some light occasional crackles and soft clicks, more evident in the silent parts between the songs, which don’t cause any major distraction from the great audio quality this record keeps from the beginning to the end, a record to listen and enjoy which won’t disappoint anyone!!! Overall, a MEGARARE record released in Chile with UNIQUE COVER, with still a great glossy look and still great sound quality after 44 years!!! AMAZING FIND FROM CHILE AGAIN!!! We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

SHIPPING (Packing and Postage)

We have an unique value worldwide: 

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending of thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP7 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
