Description
TITLE/ARTIST: Please continue to check out all current and future listings as everything from my personal collection will eventually come up for sale - 45's, Pic Sleeves, EP's and LP's from the '50's, '60's, and much, much more - all "oldies" and all in great condition! Here is one of those extremely rare and highly collectible LPs by the crazy, but talented, Phil Spector related group, The Teddy Bears, on the original Imperial Label, in MONO from 1959 - their 1st, and only, album release. Yes, an 18 year old Phil Spector was an actual member of this early group and is both pictured and mentioned on this jacket (see all the pictures above). The LP is entitled, "The Teddy Bears Sing" and although it does not include their one hit single, "I Love How You Love Me", it does have 12 other great songs (again, please see the pictures above for all song titles). LABEL INFO: This original Imperial Label (LP 9067) is close to perfect with absolutely no issues at all - I don't even see any spindle lines around the center circle, which indicates to me that it had very little play - if any at all. VINYL INFO: Likewise, the vinyl - in MONO - is also super shiny, clean, and nice with again, with nothing in any serious need of a mention. If one looks closely enough there may be just a few super light surface/paper lines, but they really are light and extremely minor. Otherwise, in my opinion, the vinyl looks about as good as the day it was 1st purchased, and again, was likely played very sparingly. JACKET INFO: Finally, the attractive cover/jacket is also in near perfect condition with nothing in real need of a mention here - again, perhaps just a small 1" seam split in the very top right corner and a couple super small scuff marks in just 2-3 places along the seams only!! INTERESTING FACTS: FYI, I believe the famous drummer, Sandy Nelson, played on this album. Otherwise, this rare and highly collectible LP is in excellent to near mint condition and would seem to be a great find out there - I really can't imagine anyone being at all disappointed with the condition of this LP. So, please have at it and continue to check this site for more great conditioned "oldies" from my personal collection. As I have already mentioned, over time I am selling off my entire collection, and there are 100's more to get to yet -- of all genre's, sizes, and varieties. Many of these still to be listed records are rare and hard to find, and most all of them are in near mint shape. So again, please bookmark my site and check it out from time to time. GOOD LUCK BIDDING!! If anyone ever needs more info than what is listed, please email me. I will respond! POSTAGE/HANDLING CHARGES: In the United States, the buyer agrees to pay $5.00 (Media Mail with Delivery Confirmation) for the first LP purchased, and then just $1.00 per LP after that-----so, buy in quantity and save. These are U.S. rates only, and all foreign winners will have to await an email me for their exact costs, although I will send a detailed invoice as soon as the auction is over---but, there too, it is cheaper to send multiple pieces. The charges for overseas are listed in the shipping category below--$23.00 for the 1st LP and then just $4.00 per LP after that. PLEASE NOTE: I take a great deal of pride in packaging all my mailings both safely and securely. However, I cannot be responsible for records that are lost or damaged by either US or overseas Postal Services. But, for additional fees, I will gladly ship the packages Priority Mail and/or add insurance! Please email me with either, or both, requests if this is of interest to you. Also, please continue to check out "rogersrecords" on ebay for future collectible records of all types. There are many more to come! browser does not support JavaScript.
