THE SWEET: Lollipop Man / Time (´69 / extremely rare orig. German issue / CORNET 5020 / red-white-black label / notable fact: original pressings of this 7" are very scarce - estimated ca. 95% to 97% of all copies of "Lollipop Man" you will find on offer in German ebay are re-pressings or counterfeits; and only very few sellers do mention this fact, even though almost all of them must be aware of it! / here the facts, which make it easy to tell originals from counterfeits: original copies always have a large center hole, they NEVER do have a solid center / further the vinyl of the re-pressing is a bit more "heavy" than the one of original pressings (actually the re-pressings are a bit "clumsy"; you don´t even have to be an expert, you can still simply "feel", that something isn´t right!... / I believe*, that the matrix numbers in the run-off grooves of the counterfeits are handwritten or a least not as thin and fine as the matrix numbers of an original pressing - the expression "I believe" does mean the following: I don´t have a re-pressing here (and actually I don´t want one!...), so I cannot compare both pressings and have to tell this out of memory!) / last not least the sleeves are also a bit different: different kinds of paper, very slight differences in the colour ....and again you will simply feel, that a counterfeit sleeve does feel like something new, the feeling just isn´t the same as the one of an original sleeve / at last a remarkable fact, that shouldn´t be forgotten: most of these counterfeit are also offered for "heavy" prices, but this does of course not reflect their "real value": in my opinion the doubtful "value" of a counterfeit cannot be more than say 10% of an original, but most sellers try to offer these at a much higher price!... / so here´s the rare chance to purchase one of the very few original pressings of one of The Sweet´s rarest 45s!)

DESCRIPTION:

small cut-hole in the right top corner / the corners and the top of the p/s are slightly bent, and there are a few light creases at the top / otherwise the p/s is in superb condition, there´s only a light to very light ringwear / the vinyl has some surface marks and light surface scratches, but there are absolutely no deeper "real" scratches (soundwise the record is in better condition than the visual grading listed here!) / both labels have a small writing ("x") and a large owner´s stamp
