The Supremes A' Go Go LP - THE SUPREMES (Motown MM649)
Original 1966 U.S. MONO LP. Amazing STILL SEALED copy of their classic album, their first #1, including the all-time GREAT H-D-H penned smashes, "Love Is Like An Itching In My Heart" & "You Can't Hurry Love." SUPER sealed copy with just a lite corner crease that prevents it from being AWESOME.
Here is the back story on this LP & a few others that I have listed now: in 1970 a long-running record store in the Midwest permanently closed it's doors. All of the inventory (10,000+ LPs, 3,000+ 45s) went into storage, where they remained until late 2013, when the former store owner passed away & his family had an estate sale. The collection was purchased by a few different record sellers in this part of the world, and I was fortunate to have been able to obtain a very tiny portion of this incredible stash. Hard-to-believe that a collection of this magnitude surfaced in the 21st century but even more impressive is the BRILLIANT condition of these records. The majority of them are A-1 PERFECT; they were stored correctly & as a result, they sport SHARP corners, PERFECT seams, TIGHT shrink, BRIGHT whites etc. W/ NO mildew/mustiness, NO staining, NO warping, NO yellowing & so on. Simply put - as AWESOME as it gets! I will be listing about 2 dozen additional LPs from this 'storage score' in the next several weeks &/or months, including ones by THE BEACH BOYS, THE BEATLES, THE KINKS, SIMON & GARFUNKEL and THE YARDBIRDS. GARFUNKEL and THE YARDBIRDS. In addition, I will also be auctioning other cool 12" 1960s/'70s winners that I've accumulated over the past several years, by the likes of PAUL REVERE & THE RAIDERS, T. REX, THE WHO, THE STANDELLS, ? MARK & THE MYSTERIANS, BOB DYLAN, BLACK SABBATH, THE BYRDS, FRANK ZAPPA, BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD, many many others + lesser known faves in the garage/psych/private world - & all in ACE condition. So keep your eyes peeled here, for some of these will be the ultimate 'archive copy' albums, make no mistake.
