Description
Recorded for the Swallow label in Louisiana and released on Apple 44 in November 1972, The Sundown Playboys Saturday Nite Special was one of the first 'cajun' singles in the UK. B side is Valse De Soleil Coucher (Sundown Waltz). This is the promo 10" now in a cardboard and plastic cover along with the original pink paper cover. It comes with the Apple Press Release : a cardboard "Words From Apple" outer which includes a glossy photo and a four sided biography sheet : this contains a band breakdown, and an exploration of Cajun music by the late, great Mike Leadbitter, who got this released. The whole package is in excellent condition - the vinyl un-played and the press kit un-faded.
