I was a college radio DJ into punk in 1977 and on a visit to London was lucky enough to see The Stranglers play with The Only Ones in Oxford. The next day, Andrew Lauder, who signed the band to UA as well as Buzzcocks, gave me two copies of this single. It was pressed up with a "censored" version of the song "Peaches" for in the hope that radio would play the track in the UK. For example the word "cl*tor*s" is replaced with "bikini." I've read elsewhere that only 250 copies were pressed. Not sure if that is accurate.
I visually inspected the single and don't see any scuffs, scratches or fingerprints. Played "Peaches" and only heard a couple of ticks. I noticed what looks like a thin hair-like mark on the label (see photo) to the left of the UA logo. That appears to be an impression or dent in the label.
