THE STRANGLERS - BLACK AND WHITE - JAPAN ISSUE ALBUM + INNER LYRIC BAG + FOLD OUT JAPANESE INSERT.
Fantastic Original Japanese pressing of the 'Black and White' album from one of the most creative and menacing punk band's of all time.
The Stranglers just didn't care, in true punk style they crashed from late 70's punk rock into the 80's new romantic scene and beyond, never compromising and ever changing while retaining their devoted fan base.
They upset the moral majority with their Duchess video, graced top of the pops more times than I care to remember and just kept on going.
This third album from the band caught critics and fans alike off guard it was the start of a new direction for the band and is crammed full of songs that became live fan favourites.
The album captures the strange dark and brooding energy of the original band and features some unique , different and essential recordings performed by the classic lineup, the Stranglers were always interesting that's for sure.
The inner English lyric bag is printed on medium paper and is in excellent condition with the record stored in a separate anti static inner to avoid splitting it, the fold out Japanese lyric insert is again in great condition with some age browning near the crease but still top for its age.
The sleeve itself is in very good condition for its age with hardly any age related storage wear, couple of light marks but still very presentable, the Obi is clean and in excellent condition apart from a tiny tare that I have added a photo of
The vinyl retains a very good sheen and looks as though it will play no problems, there are just a couple of very light surface hairlines at most that shouldn't affect play.
A very decent example overall of this rare Japan import of a must have classic Stranglers album for any serious Stranglers / Punk rock collector.
Acquired within a large private punk collection I bought recently, lots more to list in the coming months so keep checking my listings, Sold with no reserve.
