Jimi Hendrix: The Story of Hendrix (2 LP, Polydor 2664 379 Stereo) Import from Germany
This copy of mine is immaculate, the lp's look new, the cover would but has a little wear along the bottom and top edges - took me awhile to get this one into a protective lp sleeve so a little edge wear occurred (likely sliding it in and out of the wall shelves) but not much and the rest is primo, check the photos. (and it's in a sleeve now for sure)
I had so many Hendrix lps that I don't think I played this one but one time, just to hear the sound quality, which is typically 'import', seemingly an engineering level above the U.S. versions.
You can see the playlist on all four sides in my photo of the back cover, use the magnifier. If you are new to Hendrix (hey, someone always will be! kids who play are always 'discovering' Jimi), THIS is the collection to begin with.
The German cover reads ".. keiner hinterlieb innerhalb von nur drei Jahren so tiefe Spuren in der Popularmusik der Gegenwart.." (I was recently saying the same thing to a friend!)
Growing up my best friend Jackie was the first to play Hendrix (in the living room, no less), and her dad wanders in and utters the classic, "that's just a buncha danged noise!" Millions more said it, but Vivian was the first I heard! He and I were big band fans, usually in the back room on the radio.. the joint was always jumpin! He never joined into the rock parade..
