Here’s the very rare German first pressing of this awesome beast, with gold labels. Unlike the uber-rare British pressing, this came in a gatefold sleeve, which is also laminated. As far as I’m aware, the US, the UK and Germany are the only territories that touched Fun House when it first came out, and this is the only German copy I’ve ever seen.
SLEEVE
The flimsy laminated gatefold is in VG condition, with light general wear, some mild flaking to the seams and a neat hole punch top right (like several other German LPs I own, which were all presumably promos). There’s a ‘Metronome Records, Hamburg’ credit on the back cover, where the Elektra address has been clumsily airbrushed.
VINYL
The disc is in VG+ condition, verging on EX. There are some scuffs and light surface marks, but it’s glossy and sounds great. It comes in what I assume is its original plain inner sleeve.
LABELS
Both labels are in terrific condition, with only very light signs of use.
