ELEKTRA LABEL MEGA RARE 1970 FIRST UK PRESSING WITH E J DAY FRAGILE MATT SINGLE SLEEVE IN EXCELLENT PLAYING CONDITION.
2410 009 STEREO
Released in 1970 on the ELEKTRA label, I am offering today this mega rare and hard to find single sleeve first ever UK issue of this legendary second album from THE STOOGES titled "FUNHOUSE". The album when released back in November 1970 sold in small amounts some say less than 500 and reviews were quite cutting, making this album one of the rarest albums on the ELEKTRA label and the rarest album by THE STOOGES. and an album that everyone should have in their collection.
The album apart from a surface mark on the last track L.A. BLUES which is purely cosmetic is in excellent condition.
The album comes complete with fragile matt single sleeve printed by E J Day which I would describe as very good as it shows some edge wear and the spine text is mostly worn away.
I have just played this through for these listing purposes and I have to say that it plays nicely with a rich sound, absolutely no sticks or skips etc. A rare chance to own the rarest STOOGES album ever to be released and in great playing condition.
The VINYL, The Vinyl visually a surface mark on L.A. BLUES but nothing can be felt and audibly is it plays well with rich sound. Needless to say absolutely no nasty sticks or skips etc.
The SLEEVE, The E J Day matt single sleeve is in very good clean condition. No unwanted writing or stickers etc, but the edges and spine are showing wear.
The LABELS, The first issue red Elektra labels are very clean, showing moderate spindle traces. Needless to say they are free from unwanted writing or stickers etc.
The INNER, The original generic white inner is clean and free from unwanted writing or splits etc.
I try to be accurate in my grading as I know what its like to buy miss graded items but won't insult you by writing song lyrics etc. If you feel I have not described this correctly I am happy to refund you providing I receive the item back in the same condition as it leaves me, But I can only refund one lot of postage,
