ULTRA-RARE 1991 DOUBLE 45 RPM VINYL UK PRESSING IN A BEAUTIFUL GATEFOLD SLEEVE, Silvertone Records, Numbered Limited Edition (this one is numbered 14649, not sure how many were made in all, but this album was ridiculously popular in the UK at the time). 2 years after the initial release Silvertone had the brilliant idea to reissue this incredible debut album on 2 records at 45 rpm, opening up the analog sound and making it as powerful as it could possibly be. If you are a big fan of this album, you will be in music heaven with the sound on this, so warm and open yet so sharp and punchy at the same time; you will probably hear many details that went previously unnoticed. By far the best version out there on any format (the new colored vinyl edition is decent, but still comes nowhere near this).
From my private collection, well taken care of, the 2 records are in strong VG+/NM- condition. There is unfortunately one tiny scratch somewhere in the middle of "Waterfall" that causes some light audible ticks for a few seconds, otherwise the rest plays excellent, very clean and just plain beautiful.
The super-cool gatefold cover is in strong VG+ condition, just a little normal shelf wear, looks great. I've given the LPs nice new polysleeves for extra protection.
