On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Sorrows called 'Take A Heart' and is a 1966 MONO UK 1st pressing!!!! THIS LP IS EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND - AND EVEN RARER IN THIS CONDITION!!!! THE LP IS 100% COMPLETE TOO - WITH ITS ORIGINAL 1ST PRESS E.J.DAY 'PATENTS PENDING' FLIPBACK 1ST PRESS COVER, ITS ORIGINAL 1ST PRESS INNER, AND OF COURSE THE 1ST PRESS PYE RECORD!!!! THIS LP HAS CLEARLY ALWAYS BEEN LOOKED AFTER TOO - WITH A STUNNING COVER AND A GREAT RECORD!!!! THIS IS A VERY HARD LP TO LOCATE - IT SOLD IN SMALL QUANITIES ON RELEASE AND RARELY EVER TURNS UP THESE DAYS!!!! DONT MISS OUT ON THIS EXTREMELY RARE LP!!!! This is an ORIGINAL PYE UK 1st MONO pressing from 1966 and is in STUNNING condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is NPL 38023 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Pye Label (see picture) and is a UK MONO 1st pressing!!!! All the tracks are pure quality Sorrows at their best!!!! Any fan of The Sorrows, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!
The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few light spindle marks!!!! The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition - not 100% perfect - but considering just how rare this record is, it is certainly one of the better copies you are EVER likely to see!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has 1 small mark, 3 or 4 hairlines, and only few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK - AND HAS SUPERB SHINE!!!! It is great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO nasty loud pops, only a few LOW LEVEL dull clicks at the end of one track (from the small mark mentioned earlier), NO sticking, NO jumps, NO hiss and NO nasty constant crackle!!!! This record still has a STUNNING sharp edged sound with NO groovewear and NO distortion. The record must grade visually Very Good+ if not better - with the playing grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!! THIS RECORD IS EXTREMELY TOUGH TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL inner sleeve - and this is the ORIGINAL inner too - it has the records 'Cat Number' written on the top left hand corner!!!! There is also a TINY sticker on the inner sleeve too which has the number '234' on it - showing that this must have come from a larger collection at some point. HOWEVER - remember that this is on the INNER SLEEVE - and I can always supply another perfect conditioned PYE inner if the winning bidder so wishes. However I dont believe in 'swopping' inners - especially when this inner is the ORIGINAL inner and still in VERY nice condition indeed!!!! The FLIPBACK 1st Press MONO Cover is in STUNNING condition and I doubt if I will EVER see another cover for this LP as STUNNING as this one!!!! The front of the cover is SUPERB with a STUNNING glossy shine - and NOT heavily glazed like most examples of this LP that turn up!!!! It is also VERY flat looking too - and looks SUPERB!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), only a VERY few light creases (Cover is VERY flat looking), and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back is in STUNNING condition with NO writing, NO grubbyness, and NO yellowing (apart from VERY slight yellowing to the flipbacks)!!!! This cover is SUPERB and must grade FULL Excellent if not better!!!! THIS IS AN EXTREMELY RARE LP AND IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!! DONT MISS OUT ON THIS RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
