THE SONICS 

THE SONICS - Here Are The Sonics - Original garage / psych MONO LP on Etiquette Records(ET-LP-024) from 1965.

Proto-punk garage rock band formed 1963 in Tacoma, WA. They played in several local dance halls and in high schools, until Buck Ormsby, bass player of The Wailers, discovered them. They recorded two LPs with Ormsby that were released in 1965. They scored some minor hits before disbanding in 1967.
They're renowned for their crude and brutal sound, for Jerry Roslie's lyrics (hinting at drugs, evil women and disturbing mental states) and screams.
Line-up:
- Jerry Roslie: organ, piano, lead vocals
- Andy Parypa: bass guitar
- Larry Parypa: lead guitar, vocals
- Rob Lind: saxophone, vocals, harmonica
- Bob Bennett: drums

Record is in VG+ condition.

Side 1 has a line across the vinyl that you can feel but it doesn't skip at all(see pic # 4)! There's only a faint 'tick' where the line is. There is very minimal surface noise and minor crackling in between songs and at the very end of the last song.

Side 2 has a light 'tick' at the very end of "Nighttime Is The Right Time"(track 4 side 2).

I played this at a high volume and it sounded awesome! Don't be scared off by the minor issues because the vinyl still looks and sounds great.

Cover is in at least VG+ condition. There's just a little minor wear. The seams and spine are excellent! No splitting at all but just a little wear on the bottom seam.
