I am reluctantly selling this record which I have owned now for over 15 years
This is the ultra rare French release of "There Is a Light that never Goes Out" by the Smiths
ROUGH TRADE 1986, VIRGIN 90299
This is Number 14 in the all time Smiths rarities by Record Collector Magazine

HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER 'LOLLIPOP' ARTWORK BY THE MAN HIMSELF.THIS IS THE SAME DESIGN AS USED ON THE 1985 TOUR.THE RECORD WAS RELEASED IN FRANCE IN LIMITED NUMBERS.NOT FULLY APPRECIATED AT THE TIME,AND DUE TO THE FRAGILE NATURE OF THE PAPER SLEEVE,FEW SURVIVE IN COLLECTOR STANDARD CONDITION. UNLIKE THIS ONE!!
The cover is in truely excellent condition, the sides and corners are perfectly sharpe, no scuffs, curls, blunting, etc. There are no tears, no enscriptions and no fading. This has been stored in a plastic wallet from day one and has only come out on the very rarest of occasions.
Side A of the vinyl is near mint, there are no marks or signs of use.
Side B is extremely clean with one VERY small mark about 5mm which does not affect play.
Both sides play perfectly.
All in all a fantastic example of this rare classic in highly collectable condition. This will only rise in value (5 years ago you could pick this up for £30!) so grab this while you can!!
