There aren't many bands in modern British pop that can elicit heartfelt sighs, let alone today's mainstream. Often, it doesn't seem like anything or anyone can come along and care as much as diehard Smiths fans still care about them. And it's even harder to believe that anything can inspire a real obsession, because there still doesn't seem to be any other way to experience this band. But the Smiths aren't really a pop band to begin with, not really mainstream or in the mainstream.
And Hatful Of Hollow is exactly, 16 pictures of teenage discontent, humor, frustration, wishful thinking and, frankly, fixation; The sounds alternated like slaps, punches and long sighs. This is a group that beautifully embraces what it means to grow awkwardly and feel weird; I want love, but I don't fully believe in it.
The vinyl is clean and still shiny. Could not find any marks at all. There are some spindle marks on the label, therefore I imagine it was definitely played.
THE COVER IS VG+ FOR THE STICKER RESIDUE ON THE FRONT.
INCLUDES THE ORIGINAL CARDBOARD INNER SLEEVE.
THE SPINE IS ALSO SILL VERY SOLID AND CLEAN (PHOTO).
