The Smiths - Lot of 16 UK Original 1980's 7" Singles
This is a superb collection of UK Original 1980's Picture Sleeve 7" Singles. There are some less common titles in this collection. The condition is generally great. This is a fantastic opportunity to acquire the majority of The Smiths original UK singles in one go. Don't miss out!
I have listed them individually below:
1. This Charming Man/ Jeane (Rough Trade RT 136 UK 7" 1983) UK original 1983 pressing. It has a glossy matt picture sleeve which is printed on card. The labels have a 4 pronged push-out centre. They have the Capitol logo on them. The record has A-3U-1-1/ B-1U-1-1 matrix stampers. Sleeve: Just some mild wear only. VG++ condition.
Vinyl: Just some mild sleeve rubs can be seen under a strong light. VG+ condition. Plays Near Excellent to Excellent. The labels are very nice and clean and show mild spindle wear only.
2. Sandie Shaw & The Smiths - Hand In Glove/ I Don't Owe You Anything (Rough Trade RT 130 UK 7" 1984) UK original pressing. It has a matt picture sleeve which is printed on card. The labels have a 4 pronged push-out centre. The record has A-1U-1-1/ B-1U-1-2 matrix stampers. Sleeve: Just some mild wear only. VG++ condition.
Vinyl: Just some mild sleeve rubs can be seen under a strong light, & some mild pressing marks. VG+ condition. Plays Near Excellent to Excellent. The labels are very nice and clean and show mild spindle wear only.
3. Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now/ Suffer Little Children (Rough Trade RT 156 UK 7" 1984) UK original pressing. It has a matt picture sleeve which is printed on card. The labels have a 4 pronged push-out centre. The record has A-2U-1-3/ B-1U-1-2 matrix stampers. Sleeve: Just some very light wear only. Very NEAR EX condition.
Vinyl: Just some light sleeve rubs can be seen under a strong light, & some minor pressing marks. VG++ condition. Plays Very well overall but there is some light crackle in some places. The labels are very nice and clean and show mild spindle wear only.
4. How Soon Is Now/ Well I Wonder (Rough Trade RT 176 UK 7" 1985) UK original pressing. It has a matt picture sleeve which is printed on card. The labels have a 4 pronged push-out centre. The record has A-1U-1-1/ B-2U-1-1 matrix stampers. Sleeve: Just some mild wear only. VG++ condition. Vinyl: Just some light sleeve rubs can be seen under a strong light. Very NEAR EX condition. 13. Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me/ Rusholme Ruffians (Rough Trade RT 200 UK 7" 1987) UK original pressing. It has a matt picture sleeve which is printed on card. The labels have a 4 pronged push-out centre. The record has A-1/ B-1 matrix stampers. Sleeve: Very light ringwear only. NEAR EX condition. 14. This Charming Man/ Jeane (WEA 4509 90306-7 7" 1992) 1992 re-pressing. Manufactured in Germany for the UK market. It has a picture sleeve which is printed on matt paper. The record has a solid centre. Sleeve: Light to mild ringwear only. There are no seam splits. VG++ condition. Vinyl: Just some mild sleeve rubs can be seen under a strong light, & some mild pressing marks. VG+ condition. Plays well overall. The labels are nice and clean and show mild spindle wear.
15. Acid Head EP (MAN 01 UK 7" EP 1987) UK Original 7" EP. It has a wrap-around thin card sleeve. It has a plain paper inner sleeve. The record is pressed on black vinyl & has plain white labels. These are live recordings from 1986. The tracks are: Half A Person, Cemetery Gates & I Know It's Over. Sleeve: Light to mild wear only. VG++ condition. Vinyl: Just some light to mild sleeve rubs can be seen under a strong light. NEAR EX condition. Plays Excellent overall. The labels are lovely and clean and show minimal spindle wear.
16. An Interview with The Smiths/ Morrissey (Spiral Scratch 7" 1988) UK original single which came free with "Spiral Scratch" magazine. This is not present. It has a plain paper sleeve. Vinyl: Just some light sleeve rubs can be seen under a strong light, & some mild pressing marks. VG+ condition. Plays very well overall. The labels are lovely and clean and show next to no spindle wear.
Traceable insurance is included in the stated P&P price.
>> Grading Information All grading is very strict & adheres to 'Record Collector' specifications. However, I have fine tuned them & they are explained below. All vinyl is examined closely under a strong light & play tested.MINT Condition = As good as a copy you would buy from a shop, immaculate!
NEAR MINT Condition = Very nearly mint just slightly under, maybe a couple of very, very light paper sleeve scuffs that can only be seen under strong light. SOME WOULD CLASS THIS AS MINT. This disc has been played a couple of times at most. Cover is virtually perfect - very minimal wear only.
EX Condition = A clean & tidy copy that shows virtually no defects. Maybe one or two light needle scuffs or light sleeve removal marks that can only be seen under strong light. There will be no scratches. Play will be near perfect with no distortion. Cover will be very nice with maybe very minimal creasing, ringwear or edgewear.
NEAR EX Condition = You can tell this record has been played a few times but it has been well cared for. There will be minor surface marks only; that barely detract from the sound quality. Cover may have slight creasing or ringwear. A very serviceable copy that you will be pleased with.
VG Condition = A well played but serviceable copy. There will be a few marks on the vinyl, but they won't be nasty scratches, just relatively light needle scuffs and sleeve removal marks, they will be noticeable but won't detract from play too much. Cover will show signs of storage/ ageing, e.g., creasing, slight folding, spinewear, ringwear or sticker tears. The record will not be trashed!!

7" single = £2.25 add another £1.00 (optional up to £20) for insurance. This is for standard registered items. All insurance must cover the value of the item. Therefore, for expensive items (£70+), Royal Mail "Special Delivery" will be used. This will be an extra £5.00.
(You can add up to three 50g 7" singles at no extra postage cost. Insurance needs to be paid only once up to a value of £500)
LP album = £4.50 add another £1.00 (optional up to £20) for insurance. This is for standard registered items. All insurance must cover the value of the item. Therefore, for expensive items (£70+), Royal Mail "Special Delivery" will be used. This will be an extra £6.00.

Please note that these prices are as a general guideline only. For example: Double LPs are classed as two LPs. Also posters, inserts, etc.. can increase postage costs. One parcel must not exceed 2kg (approximately 4-6 LPS).
All records will be sent in high quality vinyl mailers with at least two card stiffeners either side of the LP or 7". I use a cruciform box for larger orders (4-6 LPs). All parcels will be marked "Fragile" and dispatch time will generally be between 1-3 days after payment.
I will also remove the vinyl from the sleeve & place them in a re-sealable polythene sleeve. In order to prevent seam splits. Depending on the inner sleeve; I often remove the vinyl from the inner sleeve & place it in a separate plain paper, or polythene-lined, plain inner sleeve. I am very conscientious and careful when packaging your LP(s).
I consider my postage & packaging costs to be very transparent & very fair. Packaging costs will generally be between £0.80 to £1.50. I am not adding any further costs for handling, etc...
