THE SLAVES – SHUT UP/NEVER FREE – 1966 - ORIGINAL COPY - EX+ !!!

RAREST & BEST AUSTRIAN FREAKBEAT RELEASE!!!


This is probably the very best release of an Austrian band in the 60s. Their guitar player, Karl Ratzer, was a teenager, when they recorded some songs in Switzerland in 1966. They released 3 regular singles at the same time. The “Shut up” single is the rarest one, because reissues of the other 2 releases do exist (so called “promo”). The record I offer now is the 100% original &1st press release from 1966 in fabulous condition. It is very very hard to find these days especially in this fantastic condition. I have never seen a better copy!

“Never free” the B-side in fact is a great cover version of The Everly Brother`s song “Nancy`s minuet”.

Cover : Original picture sleeve (no copy): The cover is in EX strong condition. Only on the corner right above you can see that it is very slightly bumped but really nothing serious. The cover is complete, intact and very beautiful.

Vinyl: looks EX strong, very shiny vinyl (see pics).There are only few faintest hairlines visible under strong light, which do not affect the sound quality. No scratch or something like that. At the run -in`s you hear some very very little noise, but I believe that only occured for production reasons.

Both sides play in outstandig EX strong to EX+
