Description
I'm offering for auction The Rolling Stone's classic, Sticky Fingers, on Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs (MFSL 1-060). I am the original owner, having purchased the album in the early 1980's. Both record and cover are in great condition with only very minor surface noise in the quietest passages. I would rate the record VG++/VG++. Note: After listing this record I noticed that the lower right side of the album cover is slightly obscured by bunched up green fabric I used as a backdrop - in case you're wondering, the cover is fine!
The grading system I use is as follows.
Grading: Following is the system of grading I use – it is interpreted from Goldmine. Jackets (outer sleeves) are graded first, followed by the record (e.g. VG+ /NM-).
Mint (M): New condition.
Near Mint (NM): Nearly a record with no obvious signs of wear; a perfect jacket with no more than the most minor defects and signs of slight handling.
Very Good Plus (VG+): A very good-plus record will show signs that it was played, but was taken good care of by the previous owner. Record surface may show slight signs of wear or minor scuffs that do not affect play. Outer jackets may have slight wear, lightly turned up corners.
Very Good (VG): A very good record will show groove wear and may have a few vinyl imperfections which will affect the sound. Jackets will show slightly more wear with perhaps a frayed top edge, ring wear or seam breakdown.
Good (G) / Good Plus (G+): A good record will show significant wear and /or scratches, but will play through without skipping. It will have considerable surface noise. Jackets may have seam splits at the bottom and spines, tape, writing, ring wear, stickers and other defects that will start to overwhelm the item. A good or good-plus item is usually acquired to fill a hole in a collection until a better copy comes along.
Mailing: The item will be securely packaged and mailed in a professional-grade LP shipping box. International buyers, please see "see all details" to better estimate the postage to your location. Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick up the item – do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. The total price will only cover the price for the album and postage. If there are any questions, please feel free to contact me.
