On offer, a very rare 1968 Dutch STEREO pressing of The Rolling Stones' debut album on the BLUE UNBOXED Decca label, cat. no. DQY 825 384. This pressing with completely different, psychedelic cover design, also known as "The Butterfly Cover", is the first ever Stereo Rolling Stones release (U.K. pressings were Mono only, also all 1970's pressings) and is extremely hard to find.
For years, it was one of the most wanted Dutch Rolling Stones albums. This record with the unique Butterfly cover was only available in 1968 for a couple of months, before Decca Netherlands decided to change the cover again (the common second issue has two more recent photographs on the front, these photo's were later used for the "No Stone Unturned" album) and the Butterfly cover was deleted forever, making this an extremely rare release. This record (and especially the cover) is extremely rare. This is your chance to complete your Rolling Stones collection. Happy Bidding!
The record is in very good condition and the laminated flipback slaave is in EX- condition (tear on the front, see picture).
