Rolling Stones Records COC 59100 Release date:  April 1971

Runoff hand etched "T.M.L. Rolling Stones Records"

Although there are lower matrix numbers, the general consensus is that this is the earliest issue of this famous record with the "long" zipper and the double opening front to the Andy Warhol sleeve (see the pic) revealing the pair of briefs and bare legs. 
This was the band's ninth British studio album and their first on the newly created Rolling Stones Records label.
It was rated No 64 on Rolling Stone's list of The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.  There was a dance we all did to "Brown Sugar" which involved standing in two lines facing each other and stomping and head banging a lot.  What fun!  I would probably end up in A&E if I tried it now!
I've had this copy from new and it's still in superb condition - see details below.

  • The vinyl is in excellent condition with  just a faint superficial 3/4" scrape visible in strong light.
  • The  sleeve is in excellent condition with a small amount of corner and edge wear and some minor indentations (see pics).  
  • The zipper is in full working order!
  • The spine is clearly readable.
  • The labels are clean and  unmarked.
  • The poly-lined paper inner has a couple of small tears and some adhesive marks from the poly liner.

All my records are posted in LP mailers with cardboard stiffeners.
