Description
I have been collecting records for decades and the time has come for some of them to find a new home. Most will be in excellent condition, some have been in my family for years and remain unplayed. I will grade them all fairly and listen to them before listing.
All of them will be professionally cleaned before being sent.

Up for auction here is a Uk first pressing of the 1965 album by The Rolling Stones entitled No.2. Released in the Uk on Decca Records catalogue number LK4661. This is a first Mono pressing on the unboxed red Decca label. It is in very nice condition throughout and a really good example of this brilliant second lp by one of the worlds biggest bands. Especially when you consider this record is 56 years old !!
Matrix / Runout (A Side): XARL-6619-1A and XARL-6619-2A . Both sides have 1 mother stampers. The stampers on side 1 are 11G and 1CK on side 2 making this one of the first pressed.
The vinyl is visually in Excellent condition and has been very well looked after. There are a couple of superficial marks visible under light but really this is a strong example. The vinyl has retained its deep shine and does not look its age at all. Unsurprisingly the record plays through superbly without any skips or jumps. I did not hear any pops or ticks which is brilliant for an lp that is 56 years old. There is some occasional very light background crackle but overall it was a really excellent listen and I would grade the audio as Excellent +. A real pleasure to listen too.
The Red Unboxed Decca Labels are in awesome condition with a fews light spindle marks. I would grade them as Excellent.
The Original James Upton sleeve which is laminated to the front and with a flipback top and bottom is in amazing condition. It is bright and crisp with the pinched spine in superb condition. The laminate has some very light ringwear and slight creasing but there cannot be many sleeves for this record left which are in better shape. I would grade it as Excellent especially as its 56 years old. As mentioned earlier the spine is in superb condition.
It has the “ Blind man “ text to the rear. I have taken pictures to illustrate how good the sleeve is.
The record comes with its original patents inner sleeve which is also in great shape- see pictures.
Overall a superb copy of this classic lp by the Rolling Stones.

I use Record Collector ratings to grade my vinyl. These are :
Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc..
Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
Poor: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc.. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
