Description

Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my Rolling Stones, Beatles (and related) and 60’s beat records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!

On offer, a very rare first U.K. MONO pressing of The Rolling Stones – Let It Bleed  on the RED UNBOXED Decca label, cat. no. LK 5025.

The record is in VG minus to VG condition, there is a long sounding scratch on side 1 that starts about halfway through the song “Country Honk” and ends at the end of side 1. There is also a sounding stain on track 3 and 4 of side 1. Side 2 however is very clean, there are only some non-sounding hairlines. The labels are in EX condition, there only a couple spindle marks.

The cover is in VG condition, besides the normal handling and storage wear, there is a tiny piece of cardboard missing from the spine, there is a crease in the lower left hand corner, there is some slight rubbing on the back and the number “57” is pasted in the upper right hand corner on the back.

Unfortunately the original mono inner sleeve is missing, this record comes with a plain white inner sleeve. The poster is, as usual, also missing.

This is a very rare FIRST U.K. MONO copy of the Rolling Stones’ Let it Bleed  Banquet album. Although the record and cover are quite used, later 1960’s mono copies are very hard to find. As mono was a dying format, Decca decided to make mono copies on a “special order” basis only. As this record came out late 1969, this mono mix was used just only for a couple months only, and then never to be repressed again. This is a real opportunity for all Rolling Stones collectors to own a very first MONO pressing of this legendary album. Happy Bidding!
