The Rolling Stones : Have You Seen Your Mother Love! 1W/1W Boxed Stereo Press

This relatively rare and collectable stereo pressing on the blue boxed Decca label plays to a 'high end' standard with very little interference.  As described below only the final few seconds on track has some interference and there is only one click on S2!  The clarity and power of the audio is very impressive overall.

The cover is in excellent condition with only a line of creasing on the front, the back is very clean indeed.

This album was originally produced in the UK in the mid 60s but only for the European market.  However, I don't think this one can be classified purely as an Export LP as it was made and distributed in the UK around 1978 for both the UK and European market.

Play grading  

'Under My Thumb' plays with great power and depth throughout with only a small number of light clicks on the final 5/6 seconds.  They are largely 'buried' in the sheer volume of the music so are really not that intrusive.  The majority is Mint- but will grade the end section as VG

The classic 'Get Off Of My Cloud' is superb from the get go and if anything is even more powerful than the previous track.  Aside from a couple of barely audible ticks on the intro the playback is perfect and Mint- is deserved.

'Lady Jane' plays beautifully from the opening note and does not disappoint as it progresses.  There are no ticks, clicks, pops or static, no 'background' at all.  Another Mint- track.

'Not Fade Away' plays with incredible depth and power from start to finish with no interference.  Mint-

'I've Been Loving You' with it's rather intrusive added crowd participation (!) plays so clearly with only a small number of dust ticks.  There is also very minor vocal distortion towards the end so a Near Mint grade is about right.

'Fortune Teller' ends the side with genuine power and depth and again there is no interference.  An added 'crowd' again which is a little bizarre but is Mint- all the same.

The opening track on S2 'The Last Time' plays with stunning precision from start to finish with only one very light tick halfway through. Mint-

'19th Nervous Breakdown' also plays with very strong and powerful audio and the only 'imperfection' is a click about one minute in.  Apart from that you cannot fault the clarity and power but will grade as Ex+ accordingly.

'Time Is On My Side' is STUNNING as simple as that!  There is no interference and sounds as good as it would have done when first released.  A sublime Mint- version.

'I'm Alright' is not far off that standard with only a minimal amount of distortion.  There is no actual interference and I think an Ex+ grade is fair here.

'Have You Seen Your Mother...' is another track that impresses on every level.  It shows just how loud and powerful the Stones are 'live' and it plays with very little distortion.  Turn this one up to max!  Near Mint

The classic '(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction' ends the album with great quality and...no interference.  Despite it being the final track there is barely any inner groove distortion and the playback is superb!  Near Mint if not better! 

In summary this rare and very collectable stereo pressing plays to a superb standard overall with only minimal interference on a couple of tracks.  Just a small number of light clicks at the end of track one and only one click on S2.  The clarity and depth of the audio can hardly be faulted and with only minimal distortion I am positive any avid Stones' collector will be as equally impressed with the audio as I am.

The Cover & Inner Sleeve

The McNeill cover is in excellent condition and the only obvious wear are some crease lines that run from 'you' top left to the opening edge just below Richards.  Other than that the edges and spine are in superb shape and there is barely any corner wear.  There is also hardly any handling wear on the opening edge.  The front cover is actually very clean and has no laminate splits or 'lifts' and just a few small creases next to the spine.  The unlaminated back cover is in superb order with no marking and the crease 'lines' are only very faint on this side.  A fine example overall.

I'm not sure if this poly-lined Decca inner is the original but it is nonetheless in great condition with no side splits or tears, barely any creasing and only a couple of faint 'spots' on the white side.
