This record is in very good condition. It does spindle marks visible on each label but there are no pen marks, scuffs, stains. There is no serious wear around the centres and overall the labels are tidy but with the spindle marks as mentioned.
As for the vinyl itself, both sides are free from anything deep or really major but do have signs of use and age. There is some light scratches, minor sleeve 'scuffs' and general sign of use showing. There is also some 'mottled' or 'speckled' areas to both sides and a small 8mm feelable scratch at the end of track 1 on side 2. Overall a used vintage lp which has signs of use and age and is not perfect but is also still in good ;playable condition with no really major marks.
I play tested the record and it produced enjoyable audio throughout which although was not pristine also had no major issues or serious interference. It lays flat on the deck and upon playing there was little to no arm movement. The audio was free of skips and sticks but does have light amounts of surface noise and a few minor areas of interference. Firstly there is light surface noise in the run ins on both sides. There is also then around 8-10 light tics faintly audible in the background of track 1. These are caused by a small line and occur around 1 minute into the track. They are only lightly audible in the music however and are not loud disruptive tics.
Other than these the small scratch on side 2(track 1) also causes around 5 or 6 tics at the end of the track. These are slightly louder but occur at the very end and pass quickly. Other than these two periods there was the occasional sporadic noise and light amount of spluttering in places. There was nothing major for the most part and even the interference I have mentioned above is all pretty minor but nevertheless it is there and needs to be mentioned.
Overall a used UK 1st press with signs of this visually. Despite this it plays well enough overall with audio that is not perfect but can certainly still be enjoyed.
The gatefold sleeve is in very good+ condition. It is generally tidy all round but does have 1.5" area of wear to the lower section of the spine. This is not a fully blown split however and the sleeve is still solid all round. Other than this area there is also light wear and minor bruising to the other edges and corners. There is no tears, scuffs or pen marks on the sleeve and generally only a light amount of minor creasing to the laminate. There is a slight ring mark showing to the rear when angled but this is pretty minor. Inside the gatefold has no major issues and has no serious fading or other issues. Overall a generally tidy sleeve with some general age related wear and the heavier patch on the spine as mentioned. I have tried to describe the sleeve as best I can but please study the pictures provided to gain as much information as possible as to its condition.
The original red Decca inner has gone missing unfortunately and so the record will be sent in a brand new plain white replacement.
