Description
THE ROLLING STONES- LK4605- Made in England.
THE VERY FIRST LP- MONO. Matrix -2A and -5A- a very early pressing !!!!!!!!!
The sleeve shows wear with creases.Corner and edge wear. The rear flipbacks are intact. The unlaminated rear is grubby. The spine is still readable.
Overall,not to bad considering its age.
The record is held in a polylined inner- clean and strong.
Labels- The labels show spindle marks-otherwise clean.
The vinyl still shows a gloss to both sides and is clean. There are several scratches and marks- it has been in the family for years and is well played.
PLAYBACK- I am very pleased to say it plays without skip or jump. There are some ticks in places and a louder one between tracks.
Overall I thought it had a great sound.
Not perfect by any means but a rare one. Not to be missed.
I have been asked about errors . I can point out-
1. 'Mona' on sleeve and label.
2. 'Honest I Do' credited to Hurran/Calvert.
3. Publishing credit to Cromwell.
4 'Route 66' not 'Get your kicks on Route 66'
The above errors are only found on the very earliest pressings of this record and were soon revised. This is therefore a very early copy indeed.
