GRADING SYSTEM: EX+, EX, VG+, VG (All my records are orig. vintage pressings)
Excellent Plus (EX+): Optically: No obvious signs of wear, only a few faint superficial hairlines under bright light from the inner sleeve or storage are present. With clean looking labels the record looks like it was hardly ever played. The vintage US records may show under bright light only some slight pressing shadows (different refraction) from the manufacture that never affect play. Play-Test: The record plays clean with at most minor low-level faint surface static or very occasional one-off slight tick present from the manufacture.
Excellent (EX or VG++): Optically: An excellent quality looking record with some superficial paper scuffs and hairlines. The record looks like it has been played but handled with extreme care. A few spindle traces are visible. Play-Test: The record plays clean with some faint surface noise and a few minor occasional ticks between tracks, at the lead in or in the quiet passages.
Very Good Plus (VG+): Optically: The record surface shows some signs of wear and may have some light scratches but nothing that can be felt with the fingertip. Play-Test: The record plays with some surface noise and some occasional ticks/pops.
Very Good (VG): Optically: Many of the defects found on a VG+ record are more pronounced on a VG disc. Play-Test: Surface noise and crackle is heard but will not overpower the music. There may be at least one thin scratch that can be felt with the fingertip and that affect the sound with repetitive ticks/pops. The thick Vinyl shows some hairlines, paper scuffs and slight pressing shadows (they never affect play) under bright light. No visible spindle traces. Beautifully recorded and engineered original pressing with a strong, deep, rich and vibrant sound and a powerful mono dynamic cut. The record plays clean with minor occasional background static from the manufacture. Grade EX. The Cover shows wear, WOC back cover, stains, ring wear, edge wear, corner wear, creases.
Die LP hat unter hellem licht oberflächliche haarfeine Kratzer/Scuffs, Schaten. Die Platte spielt sauber und sehr dynamisch mit minimaler pressungs-bedingten Hintergrund-Statik. Zustand EX. Das Cover hat Gebrauchsspuren, WOC, Flecken, Ring Wear, Abnutzung auf Kanten und Ecken, Knicke.
