Description

This is it! From 1979! An extremely rare, ORIGINAL PRESSING of notorious NY 70s NY Punk Band, THE REACTORS, only officially released studio recording, the 45RPM single, from 1979, "I Want Sex" b/w "Seduction Center." This band was fronted by Shepherd Ginzburg on guitar and vocals, with Robert Payes on bass and Jason Leavitt on drums. They played extensively in NYC 1978 - 1980, this single was played regularly on WPIX fm by Frank Zappa when he appeared as a guest dj. "I Want Sex" is the wickedly driving single and was the anthem for the group in their legendary live shows, "Seduction Center" is a punk classic in itself, with dense, layered, punchy production. ONLY 100 COPIES OF THIS SINGLE WERE PRESSED! Condition of the disc is Very Good. Some minor surface noise detectable at beginning and end of both tracks, but otherwise very clean for a recording of this vintage. No pops, no skips! Comes with ORIGINAL PICTURE SLEEVE- condition of the picture sleave is good, although worn (some staining, folds, a tear on the edge). This is a very rare find!
