Description

THE PRISONAIRES "A Prisoner's Prayer" b/w "I Know" on Sun 191, released in 1953. Vinyl is VG. Record sounds great, with light surface noise. Great condition for a record this old. Labels are in beautiful condition. Dead Wax Numbers: U-85-45 72. The Prisonaires were an African-American R&B and blues vocal group who recorded for Sam Phillips' Sun Records label while the group's members were all incarcerated in the Tennessee State Penitentiary in Nashville. The group was led by Johnny Bragg. Their first hit, also released in 1953, was "Just Walkin' In the Rain." This record is highly coveted by record collectors. VERY RARE IN THIS CONDITION.
