The irreverent snarl and brashness of THE PRETTY THINGS made The Rolling Stones seem like choirboys in comparison!
Tough garage rock blues that took no prisoners, and covering the nastier raw edged r'n b from Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry and Jimmy Reed as well as others...and a couple of their own for good measure!
They could wilt flowers with their excellent delivery of truly brilliant raucous rock rhythm.
The nearest band to them was surely Van Morrison's THEM, so it was fitting that he joined them in their final live gig in London's 'Indigo' suite just a year or so back, along with lifetime fan David Gilmour and other band members from their long history.
This is an EXCELLENT lp for garage rock fans and devotees of this influential stalwart group that included Rolling Stones founder member Dick Taylor.
Respect is due for the only recently passed vocalist PHIL MAY.
Rest In Peace Phil, thanks for the decades of music memories.
CONDITION;
The VINYL is in tremendous clean EX+ (aka NEAR MINT-) condition. FULL sheen and playing superbly. Under a bright lamp only wispy sleeve lines visible.
Labels *with the Silver on Matt Black first issue lables* are in NM condition also bright and clean, 2 spindle marks visible only.
The LAMINATED CARD COVER is NEAR MINT- in VERY nice shape, no writing, tears, or stains, only lightest storage wear.
A really BEAUTIFUL archive copy of this special group's debut album!
