THE PRETTY PEOPLE "BY THE PRETTY PROPLE" CRESTVIEW 3056 RARE 1969/70
Very obscure vocal instrumental band which recorded this sole album for the tiny independent Crestview Records in Hollywood Ca. at the Sound Factory, produced by Tommy Coe and Denny Gore. Previous to the album was a single release in late '69 of "Just For Today/Goin' to San Dieo". There are seven musicians pictured on the front cover all of whom sing, some playing instruments. There are another six listed who fill out the rest of the instrumentation. Twelve original songs composed by either Denny Gore, who was also the musical arranger for the band and Bobby Adano who only wrote for the group. Titles include "Merry Go Round of Love", "80 Lower Pike", "Hard Luck Stories', "Goin' Home'' and "Lady Melinda". There are two female vocalist in the group adding texture to the vocal harmonies and over togetherness of the sound created here...This is interesting and rare late sixties Pop-Sunshine-Pop.
