VINYL: NM (LOOKS UNPLAYED), A&M COMPANY SLEEVE: MINTLABELS/CENTRE HOLES: MINT ---------------DESCRIPTION:This is a Rare Mispress of the Black Vinyl 7" Single "Message In A Bottle"by The Police. (AMS7474).All the Black Vinyl copies had Gold A&M Labels and the Coloured Green Vinylcopies had Green A&M Labels. This copy should have Gold A&M Labels but...This is a Black Vinyl copy with Green A&M Labels.
There is no matrix numbers on this copy. It just has a triangle mark followed by 7474 on both sides of the run out grooves.
These green labels were only pressed on the green vinyl copies, NOT the black vinyl.
Only 30+ copies have surfaced since it's release in September 1979, out of the hundreds of thousands that were pressed of this UK#1 single, and are very hard to find these days. This copy is near mint but looks unplayed and the labels are perfect. I am also throwing a mint A&M Company sleeve to go with the single. This is possibly the best condition copy that has been listed.
