1968
Yes, this is an original (not reissue) copy of the 1968 hard garage psych classic. The record is very rare. However, this is a ridiculously rare MONO copy. They made so few of these that they didn't even bother to print mono jackets, they just put a "MONAURAL" sticker over the word "Stereo" on the front of the jacket. The album is well respected in it's own right, but is even more sought out as it is an early commercial recording of guitar legend Randy Holden, who went on to work with fellow heavy rockers Blue Cheer.
The record is graded VG+. Many scratches, but none really deep. No skips and not much that sounds like groove damage. The vinyl does play back with a bit of very low background noise and a moderate amount of low volume crackles. Certainly a very playable copy, especially with the mono button depressed. The labels have no writing but do show moderate spindle marks.
The jacket is also VG+, with nicely in tact seams, other than a 1/4" rip at the top right opening. The front is fairly respectable with mild discoloration and ring wear consistent with a record of it's age. The back of the jacket, while structurally sound, shows significant staining and discoloration (see pictures). There is also a faint stamp of "NOT FOR SALE" at the top left of the rear panel (see last picture).
I grade hard, trying to put myself in the place of the buyer rather than the seller. See my feedback and bid with confidence!
The record will be shipped in an approved mailer, with the vinyl in a new white sleeve and kept outside of the jacket. The jacket will be in a clear poly sleeve for protection. I want to be sure that you don't get any additional split seams and that this arrives in the same condition that it is presently in. Insurance and tracking will be included with shipping.
