THE NOTATIONS
Killer northern soul 45 !
The Notations really came into their own once they got to Gemigo Records in 1975, and managed to score about a half dozen minor hits on the nation’s charts. But it’s those earlier recordings by the Chicago group, that the northern soul collectors are seeking out. Those rare platters on Twinight Records.
This is one of them a great group sound on the song “A New Day.” It’s from around 1970 and is flipped with “At The Crossroads.” It never was a hit and is one of their best, and most desireable recordings.
