[FROM WIKIPEDIA:] Ars Longa Vita Brevis is the second album by the English progressive rock group the Nice, which featured Keith Emerson (ELP) and Steve Howe (Yes) for a bit.
The title is an aphorism attributed to Hippocrates usually rendered as "Art is long, life is short"; Keith Emerson's interpretation of this can be gauged from his writings:
- "Newton's first law of motion states a body will remain at rest or continue with uniform motion in a straight line unless acted on by a force. This time the force happened to come from a European source. Ours is an extension of the original Allegro from Brandenburg Concerto No. 3. Yesterday I met someone who changed my life, today we put down a sound that made our aim accurate. Tomorrow is yesterday's history and art will still be there, even if life terminates."

The album set comes in a box as show above and the records have with original inner sleeves. As best as I can tell by the looks of the albums, they have never been played (and I've never played them. The vinyl is shiny, no hint of wear at the spindle holes and no scratches evident. If this ever had liner notes (and it's hard to believe it wouldn't have) they are missing now (and were probably in French anyway). The outer box does show a small amount of shelfwear but in general still in solid condition.
THIS IS A VERY RARE album, and one most Emerson fans aren't even aware exists. Every other copy I've seen on eBay or anywhere else is the single album edition. If it does not have the logo shown right, then it is NOT the same set! It comes from my personal collection and is being sold at a very reasonable price given it's rarity! Grab it while you can... will be shipped in cardboard vinyl album shipper... Enjoy...

If your parcel gets lost OR damaged in freight, your item will be replaced if one is available OR you will be completely refunded!

If you are buying more than one of my items and would like to SAVE MONEY by COMBINING SHIPPING costs, I will be happy to do so, but eBay has now made it more difficult to get discounts by confusing people with "Buy it Now" and "Add to Cart" options on non-auction style pages.
