Description

Nice copy of the 1958 pressing of Miles Davis' The New Miles Davis Quintet LP on Prestige PRLP-7014. Bergenfield address, with Rudy Van Gelder's initials on the runout. Wonderful classic recordings featuring John Coltrane, Red Garland, Paul Chambers, and Philly Joe Jones. The disc has some scuffs and marks but plays surprisingly well. I would say it plays E with barely the slightest crackle to be heard anywhere. Just a bit in a few of spots, but never terrible. Really this copy plays mostly just beautifully. The cover is really beautiful as well, with only light wear. There is a small tear on the outer paper at the center of the right edge (see photo) and some minor water damage on the back, where it is rippling a little (see photo), and slightly discolored. Also a seam split at the center of the top edge (see photo), not bad. Really a beautiful cover overall, and a gorgeous sounding disc, despite the marks.
