Outamongolia records presents a limited vinyl-only release for collectors and connoisseurs of vintage British Mod and Freakbeat. The Nerve – Piece by Piece offers a rare and valuable insight into one of Britain’s key pop unknowns who were being groomed for stardom by none

other than legendary independent pop impressariio, Larry Page before being championed and produced by Andover’s Trogladyte, Reg Presley. Presley was so impressed by the band’s energy, look and original songwriting, he himself directed their infamous promo shot for the Fleet Street press!!

This limited vinyl collector’s edition of 350 hand-numbered copies encompasses all of the band’s work from 1967 to 1969 for the first time ever. From a two year lifespan, this Midland band provided Freakbeat fans with the cracking double-sider, All You’ve Got b/w Do It Again as The Lovin’ (both sides being compiled on Circus Days Volume Three LP) before delivering further sonic mayhem in day-glo attire as The Nerve. Not content with being paraded around the pop world as Page’s psychedelic sweethearts, they managed one final single as Duffy Taylor Blues before boarding the train bound for Nottingham and returning home as virtual unknowns!

Limited hand-numbered vinyl-only pressing compiles all of the band’s six singles from 1967 to 1969. LP release includes full Colour booklet with informative liners, full biography and a plethora of original memorabilia and photographs all of which provides a hugely valuable, and enjoyable insight into an everyday provincial rock band being thrust into the dazzling limelight of London’s pop circus at the height of the British pop phenomena in the 1960s!!
